I have always had cloth hats, even with a wire in the brim they inevitable get floppy and misshapen as I shove them into bags. This hat was bought for a trip overseas in summer, where I knew I would be moving a lot. I wanted a decent brim but not so much I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing around in the streets as opposed to lounging in the sun. This hat was light, stylish and bounced back after much squashing and handling. If I were going to be in the sun for extended time, I would like a wider brim, but this was a great compromise for me as I wore it all the time, even when drizzling!
